You might already have a diagnosed eating disorder, but you don’t need a diagnosis to seek therapy for eating and body issues. You may already be on your recovery journey or you may be at the very beginning.
Wherever you are along your path to recovery, working with me will provide you with an understanding and safe space to explore You and your eating issues.
What I offer
The Journey Starts here to Reclaim Yourself & Rebuild your Relationship with Food
See the ‘My Approach’ section of the Home page here to understand how I work.
1. Long Term Psychodynamic Counselling -> Typically long term therapy might continue for a couple of years. However, with this option therapy continues for as long as you like and until we think the work is done. Everyone can benefit from long-term therapy but I recommend this in particular if you have a diagnosed Eating Disorder.
2. Short Term Psychodynamic Counselling (12 sessions) -> In 12 sessions our work needs to be more goal focused and action oriented than the long term option, and it cannot go as deep as long term therapy. In 12 sessions we will aim to enhance your self-awareness and your understanding of past experiences to help improve your symptoms. If you wish several sessions can also focus on tools and techniques from CBT for Eating Disorders and Intuitive Eating which can help improve your day to day relationship with food.
It is always an option to start with 12 sessions and then continue with long-term therapy.

£80 / session

What to Expect for Regular
One to One Therapy Sessions
- You book in a free 30 minute Zoom consultation with me. We will discuss your current situation, how therapy works, address any questions and discuss what is right for you now.
- You might want to take time to think, or if you know you want to proceed with therapy we can book you in for your first session during the consultation. Once confirmed we will agree a regular session time, this will be the same time every week.
- You will have your first 50-minute session with me. The first session is a little more formal than usual as we will complete an assessment together to understand more about you and your life. We will also discuss some administrative matters.
- We will continue to work together weekly in 50 minute sessions, the therapy is tailored to you.
- Therapy is open ended and it really is a personal decision as to how long you stay in therapy. I offer both short term (12 sessions) and long term therapy. Crucially, when you do decide you are ready to finish therapy we will work together towards an end where you leave with a greater insight, an ability to manage your life without relying on unhelpful behaviours around food and tools to support you. See the section below to understand more about the outcomes of psychodynamic therapy.
It takes courage to face up to issues around food and I know how important it is to find the right treatment for you. This is why I offer a free 30 minute zoom consultation for anyone that is considering working with me.

What Outcomes can you Expect from Psychodynamic Therapy?

Long term Psychodynamic therapy offers deep, lasting change — not just symptom relief. In therapy we aim to shift how you relate to yourself, others, and your emotional world.
Psychodynamic therapy is for people who are ready to go beneath the surface — to heal, not just to manage. It’s not a quick fix, therapy isn’t a linear process and although very rewarding it can be hard work to confront emotions and parts of ourself which feel uncomfortable.
While each person’s process is unique, there are some common outcomes you can expect from therapy.

Understanding the “why beneath the what”
